Supporting Partnerships
Community and Stadium Solutions understand that there are significant challenges in realising such complex, ambitious changes in service provision. We will work with the partnership to proactively address core issues such as:
- Does the partnership really understand its customer requirements? How?
- Is the partnership's information (data) recognised as the single most important resource?
- Is the partnership's information managed appropriately - secure, accurate etc?
We understand that it is likely there will be cultural change issues to deal with, including:
- Fear of the unknown;
- Uncertainty about the ultimate benefits of the programme; and
- a reluctance to "think out of the box"
Community and Stadium Solutions understand that partnerships will need central government backing and support. To this end, proactive communication flows will be vital. Clearly, there will be nervousness about significant re-allocation of budget but we must invest in change. A further, and critical, challenge is reducing the burden of reporting, inspection and assessment that currently weigh down public services. There will be local politics to contend with, particularly in terms of co-located services and, even more importantly, data-sharing. This challenges policy, legislation, organisational boundaries and local governance. This process also brings technological and logistical hurdles.
