As we believe that "community projects start to fail at the beginning rather than at the end", Community and Stadium Solutions uses an integrated development approach which combines community development principles and partnership good practice with more formal project management methodology.
This approach is characterised by five essential elements:
- Establishing the partnership as an entity, developing levels of trust and aligning behind a common vision and values
- Dividing the project into separate and distinguishable phases;
- Deciding at the end of each phase if and how to start the next phase, on the basis of standard and clear decision documents; and
- Managing the project on the key aspects Time (planning), Money (budget), Quality (performance), Information and Organisation.
- Engaging in continuous review against performance and ethos indicators
